S.H.A.R.E.

Sharing, Helping, And Reducing Expenses

How exactly does S.H.A.R.E. work?

At JCCS, volunteers fulfill a pivotal role in school operations. They complete tasks and
fulfill directives from the Board and Administration in a way that keeps costs and
expenses low, thus keeping tuition as low as possible. Volunteering is also an excellent
way to become connected with the JCCS community.

JCCS offers an incentive to families that volunteer at the school and will provide tuition
rebates to families based upon the number of hours that a family volunteers. Every
hour that a family member volunteers for school events and/or school initiatives will
result in a rebate of $20 per hour up to maximum of $500 per year.

Each year, the S.H.A.R.E. program will run from September 1st to August 31st. Families
can track their volunteer hours and submit them to the school using a digital form
attached to JCCS weekly communications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can grandparents or children participate in the program?

Yes! Relatives, such as grandparents or children (10 and older), are able to provide volunteer hours towards the rebate.

How are volunteer hours tracked?

Volunteer hours are tracked annually. It is the family’s responsibility to inform the school of their volunteer hours. A failure to submit volunteer hours will forfeit the rebate. They cannot be banked and used in following years.

What if my family has enrolled in JCCS part way through the year?

Families that enroll in the middle of the school year will have their volunteer hours
prorated accordingly.

How will I receive my rebate?

If you are eligible, you can receive your rebate via cheque, apply it to the next year’s tuition, or donate it back to the school.

When will I receive my rebate?

You will be contacted during the month of August. Each family will receive a report of their total volunteered hours from the previous year. Families can expect an update on the number of annual hours volunteered every 3-4 months as well.
